"Left to Write" is a collection of poetry in different forms on different views of life, death, hope, and purpose. Hopefully, this collection allows you to see the world from a different point of view and gain insights into life and death that cause you to think and reflect on your own life experiences.
Many fear reminders of death. So why do we find such beauty in that color of the season when life fades from the trees’ garments? Each spring renews others’ hopes and dreams. Summers often bring some all the energy they need. How does fall then bring a gasp not just by the coming wind? If the beauty of its peace captures us, how do we ignore the removal of remnants of death and this life by the purest white?
Joe Klimek graduated from college with a liberal arts major that created a beginning interest in poetry. He has experienced some unique medical issues, including encephalitis as a five year-old that resulted in seizures throughout grade school, high school, and college. After brain surgery at UCLA to removed damaged tissue, Joe has used his medical issues to create a unique viewpoint of life, death, and challenges that all men and women face. Joe has published several poems in anthologies and is eager to share his view of life through his poetry. Although he works each day as a technology specialist in a private school, Joe’s passion is writing. He is currently working on a novel and hopes to complete volume one in the coming year.
