You own a dog, you are thinking about adopting one or you are just curious about learning how to handle a dog ? This book is for you. Thanks to that simple and clear guidebook, you’ll learn to educate your dog with an iron fist in a velvet glove. Resulting of many years of experience among animals, from the most domestics, like dogs, to the wildest, like tigers or wolves, this book relate a method developed among the most difficult animals to educate and will give you the keys of a natural and respectful approach to live in complete harmony with your dog.
Since immemorial times, the dog evolve among men as his most precious ally. It is in fact, the first domesticated specie of all, the most ancient traces found of dog's domestication indicate that it was already a valuable friend over 15 000 years B.C., during the paleolithic era, before men even become sedentary. It's introduction in humans society, still at the tribal stage on that time, is attributed to it's use in hunting, which was then then the principal activity to feed the tribe. Year, centuries, and even millenniums, have passed and the dog managed to keep it's place among us. Today more appreciated for it's company more than for it's hunting skills, over 8 millions dogs are living in about 25% of the homes (in France) of people enjoying the presence of this proud descendant of wolf. In this book we are going to see how to educate your dog according to methods that will allow you to ensure of a good behavior of your dog on a daily basis as well as solidify the affective bound that is uniting both of you. Those methods are not resulting of officials dog training teaching, they are not the synthesis of dog trainer's knowledge. They are the result of many years of personal experience in animal education. Experience I acquired among dogs of course, but also, and mostly, among wild animals such as wolves, lions, tigers and panthers to quote only the most popular. This experience permitted me to develop an education method that we could say share a common basis (as long as we are able to adapt) to many living beings. Because, despite what some common ideas says, there is a common psychological basis shared by numerous species, especially mammals (even us), which can be employed and adapted to establish a relationship with any specie enough psychologically developed. It is by working on this basis that I managed to establish a trustful relation with the most dangerous animals, up to the point of taking safely a nap among a pack of wolves or rubbing a tiger's belly like a big kitty one's. But let's get back to our dogs. Not only sharing this same psychological basis, dog have the advantage, thanks to it's millenniums of domestication, to be hugely more adapted to life in human society than are it's wild fellows that I had the privilege to get to know. In other words, the methods I explain in this book will allow you, by stepping into the logic they are carrying, to raise your dog with a natural spontaneity that will let only your imagination and your dog's physical abilities as a limit to what you will be able to teach it. We are going to get onto two main themes (Education and training), through which we will see which methods can be used, but also and mostly, what relationship you have to establish to get simultaneously the best results and the best intellectual and physical stimulation for your dog.
Disastrous student and computer tech reconverted into wild animals training, traveler, philosopher at my times and self-claimed PHB in cheap psychology.
